Kanpon by Takei Takeo
From 1935 until his death, Takei Takeo(1894-1983), a leading Japanese artist and pioneer of doga (children's art), privately published and distributed a series of miniature books known as Kanpon Works. Celebrated as “book jewels,” each volume featured a unique printing process and innovative approaches to illustration, typography, binding, and case design. Over nearly fifty years, Takei created 139 such works, a series that became his life's work.
